Living in Taranaki

New Zealand is known for its friendly people, natural beauty and excellent education system. It is well suited to International Students because the cost of living is reasonable and our country offers a wide range of outdoor adventure activities such as bungy jumping, zorbing, white water rafting and skydiving.

TARANAKI - 'like no other'

Inglewood High School is located in the heart of Taranaki. We are 10 mins (by car/bus) from the main centre of New Plymouth which is a city by the sea. New Plymouth has a population of 70,00 people. Inglewood is a small farming community which services a high number of families in the surrounding area. Taranaki offers a plethora of outdoor adventure activities from tramping, surfing, hunting, mountain biking, horse trekking, swimming, dam dropping and many more. The large, open spaces are attractive to International Students who enjoy experiencing what is on offer.

In October 2016, Taranaki was named the 2nd best region in the world to visit by Lonely Planet. Read why here.
