We are a quality co-educational community school of approximately 400 students, which has served our young people with distinction since 1957. The school is situated 20 km from New Plymouth and serves the town of Inglewood and the surrounding rural community. Some of our students also travel outside the district to attend. In addition, we have a small number of international students, both exchange and fee paying. The small size of the school is a strength. It allows a friendly supportive atmosphere and small classes. Students are offered a range of subjects over and above the core programme. This multi-level curriculum prepares students for national qualifications at senior level. In addition, there is a wide variety of extra-curricular activity available such as Kapahaka (Maori culture and performance), music tuition and over 25 different sports codes. A strong pro-active guidance network, careers counselling and student leadership initiatives enable students to feel that the school is there for them.
Set in 10 hectares of park-like grounds against the stunning backdrop of Mt Taranaki, the facilities are well maintained and equipped. These include laboratories, recently redecorated classrooms, remodelled technology, art and commerce areas, expansive playing fields, netball/tennis courts, swimming pool and gymnasium. Talented and enthusiastic staff work hard to ensure students achieve there very best. Thank you for taking the time to look through our website.
